Obtenção e caracterização de filmes nanoestruturados de polianilina/látex de borracha natural

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP); Pós-graduação em Ciência dos Materiais - FEIS; Este trabalho apresenta estudos sobre a obtenção de filmes finos de polianilina (Pani) e látex de borracha natural (BN) através da técnica de automontagem. A caracterização dos filmes compreendeu o estudo dos mecanismos cinéticos de adsorção, determinado o tempo de deposição e quantidade de material adsorvido de acordo com mudanças nas condições de deposição como pH, concentração, dopante, solvente e substrato. Foram obtidos filmes com um crescimento tipicamente linear durante todo o processo de deposição com até 10 bicamadas. Os efeitos destas mudanças sobre a estabilidade do filme foram estudados com base na cinética de dessorção, onde o filme foi lavado, sob agitação constante, em água destilada por vários dias. O estudo da cinética de dessorção revelou que o filme passa por um processo de hidratação antes que ocorra a perda de material adsorvido. A morfologia do filme foi estudada utilizando diferentes técnicas de microscopia, das quais foi possível determinar as características morfológicas dos polímeros puros e após adsorver ao substrato, assim como dos filmes com 10 bicamadas. Nanomaterials have been highlighted by high sensitivity when applied to biological sensors. As they haver virtually the same dimensions as the molecules that should detect, these nanosensors could revolutionize the diagnoses way are made in medical and biological examinations. Therefores, in this research, we prepared and characterized multithreaded nanowires usind different types of metal and polymer. These nanowires were prepared by electrochemical deposition process and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The synthesized nanowires have been changed for the attachment of the enzyme glucose oxidase. Several experimental parameters of biosensor was evaluated as the optimization of pH (at 6), as a function of the peak current obtained from glucose; the enzyme concentration of 0,4 mg ml-1 required to prepare the biosensor; as well as the study of electrochemical potential variation, where it was observed that the ideal is to use potential less than 0,4 V. Pós-graduação em Química - IQ; The hair dyes represent an important area of the cosmetic industry and are used by 50% of the female population worldwide. In recent years there has been a growing concern with the use regulations and the permitted limit for these compounds due to dermatological effects, mutagenic and carcinogenic and associated with its use. As a result the demand for reliable analytical methods for the control of the level of dyes in aqueous media are extremely important. Thus, the present work describes the construction and characterization of two electrodes developed by modification with nanostructured materials (TiO2 and CNT). In the case of electrodes modified with TiO2 nanotubes, these were grown on plates as Ti substrate and its application in the identification and quantification of hair dye Basic Brown 17 in tap water using the technique of linear sweep voltammetry. Already the Multi Wall Carbon Nanotubes were used in the modification of a glassy carbon electrode and applied in determining the hair dye Acid Green 25 in aqueous medium. In Brazil is estimated at 2.5 million the number of people infected by the disease. Praziquantel (PZQ) is the only drug used for the treatment of schistosomiasis and is effective in all kinds of Schistosomes , but shows some features which limit their use, such as, low water solubility and low or erratic bioavailability . The solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) are colloidal systems which have been developed by combining the advantages of emulsions, liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles are composed of a matrix that is solid at room or body temperature. Despite the well-described SLNs have some characteristics that limit their use, such as, ease of expulsion of the drug during storage, and the amount of encapsulated drug in the matrix limited. To overcome these limitations, a new class of nanoparticles was developed, named nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs), which are composed of a matrix containing a mixture of solid and liquid lipid. Pós-graduação em Engenharia Mecânica - FEG; In this work, pristine and functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes reinforced poly (phenylene sulfide) composites were successfully obtained by melt mixing technique. The nanostructured composites were characterized by means of electrical, thermal, mechanical, rheological, and morphological methods. The electrical conductivity of neat PPS showed an increase by 11 and 9 orders of magnitude when 3.0 and 4.0 wt% of pristine MWCNT and functionalized MWCNT were incorporated in polymeric matrix, respectively. Moreover, the electrical percolation thresholds found on these systems were 2.1 and 3.6 wt%, suggesting the formation of three-dimensional conductive network within the polymeric matrix. The maximum crystallization temperature of PPS increased by about 19°C and 13°C due the incorporation of pristine (p-MWCNT) and functionalized filler (f- MWCNT), demonstrating the nucleating effect of the nanoparticles. Dynamic mechanical analysis showed an increase in storage modulus and glass transition temperature, due the incorporation of p-MWCNT and f-MWCNT in PPS matrix.
