Esta tese descreve um estudo experimental com grupos de trabalho. O experimento concentrou-se na observação de equipes, compostas por alunos de administração de empresas, que atuaram em uma simulação empresarial. A simulação baseou-se na atuação de indivíduos, organizados como equipes de trabalho, em empresas fictícias que competiam entre si. Durante o processo, exigiu-se que as equipes analisassem o ambiente externo das organizações, os recursos disponíveis em suas organizações, o desempenho dos concorrentes e, com isso, que tomassem as decisões necessárias para alcançar os melhores resultados possíveis para a empresa. Este trabalho discute a transcendência, requisito específico de cabimento do recurso de revista trabalhista, instituído pela Medida Provisória n.º 2226, de 05 de setembro de 2001. Quase uma década depois, essa criação legislativa não surtiu qualquer efeito prático, porque dependente de regulamentação por parte do Tribunal Superior do Trabalho (TST), o qual, todavia, depois de vários estudos, inclina-se por descartar esse critério de admissibilidade, em face da evidente dificuldade de se conceituar o que é transcendência econômica, política, social e jurídica. A celeuma envolvendo esse requisito recursal, no entanto, abriu oportunidade para se discutir um pouco o papel da Justiça do Trabalho e, particularmente, a atuação do TST, incumbido de julgar um número cada vez maior de recursos de revista, o que pode comprometer a credibilidade de sua missão. Dissertação de mestrado em Estudos da Criança (área de especialização em Integração Curricular e Inovação Educativa); Neste trabalho, pretendo dar a conhecer "O meu Baú Profissional", que desenterrei no início deste Mestrado, tornando esta dissertação um espaço para, através da utilização dos instrumentos teóricos e metodológicos que fui adquirindo ao longo da formação, construir uma narrativa que permitisse conceptualizar e mobilizar os saberes, competências e atitudes que constituem o meu conhecimento profissional, enquanto educadora de infância. O método (auto)biográfico-narrativo, que sustenta a metodologia utilizada, permitiu-me construir uma narrativa em busca de uma identidade profissional, à medida que fui mobilizando referentes, alguns pessoais e outros que estão no colectivo, manipulando-os de forma pessoal e autêntica. Although other web-based approaches to assessment of professional behaviour have been studied, no publications studying the potential advantages of a web-based instrument versus a classic, paper-based method have been published to date. This study has two research goals: it focuses on the quantity and quality of comments provided by students and their peers (two researchers independently scoring comments as correct and incorrect in relation to five commonly used feedback rules (and resulting in an aggregated score of the five scores) on the one, and on the feasibility, acceptability and perceived usefulness of the two approaches on the other hand (using a survey). The amount of feedback was significantly higher in the web-based group than in the paper based group for all three categories (dealing with work, others and oneself). Regarding the quality of feedback, the aggregated score for each of the three categories was not significantly different between the two groups, neither for the interim, nor for the final assessment. It investigates how much students and teachers know about Internet safety and establishes from what source students have received information on safe Internet use to date. Finally, it investigates whether the study school is following recommended guidelineson Internet safety strategies. Research involved a mixed methodology approach. A variety of sources were used to gather information thus ensuring the notion of triangulation. Teaching staff and students from the study school were surveyed, semi structured interviews with management and teaching staff were conducted, comments made from teachers concerning students’ safe Internet use were noted and relevant ICT documentation was reviewed. A partir de los conceptos de igualdad y diferencia, se discuten las formas de profesionalización de cuatro mujeres artistas españolas. Solo en el caso de Maruja Mallo se observa una trayectoria equiparable a la de los hombres artistas, tanto en lo que se refiere a la formación académica en las escuelas de bellas artes, como al reconocimiento por parte de la crítica especializada, a la autonomía económica que le confiere su actividad como pintora y a la separación de su vida personal y amorosa respecto de su trabajo profesional. With increasing focus on community-based mental health services, family caregivers require and deserve professional support. The aim of the paper is to provide information useful to mental health professionals planning to run support groups for family caregivers in chronic mental illness. The data presented here combine qualitative information with quantitative information. From 36 group members who were caring for a relative with schizophrenia, eight were selected with extreme positions on four intake dimensions: (i) length of time since patient's diagnosis; (ii) amount of carer-patient contact; (iii) level of psychological distress; and (iv) level of rejecting attitudes to the patient. Differences in the responses of these individuals to the group meetings, as shown by their comments on both short and long-term effects, suggest how meetings, as shown by their comments on both short and long-term effects, suggest how groups might be selected and structured for maximum effectiveness. non-peer-reviewed; This investigation aimed to examine the effects of using an Online German Homework Wiki and other factors on undergraduate students’ language improvement at the Shannon College of Hotel Management (SCHM) in Ireland. The Online German Homework Wiki designed and implemented at SCHM in advance of this study. Students had the option of submitting homework online, where it was corrected by the lecturer using an elaborate coloured correction scheme, incorporating corrective feedback and comments of guidance and praise. The students and lecturer also had the ability to communicate online using comments. The Online German Homework Wiki also stored class handouts and class pages in which the lecturer documented all white-board work on vocabulary and discussion topics as they happened in class, thus contextualising vocabulary. Key to the learning process, however, was the feature of hyperlinking, which involved the teacher underlining errors and hyperlinking them to other pages explaining the grammatical or idiomatic aspect, thus contextualising grammar. Cette recherche avait pour objectif d’évaluer l’effet du dispositif de formation « Zoom sur l’expertise pédagogique », ou, plus précisément, d’évaluer l’effet d’un parcours de formation créé grâce à ce dispositif et intégrant des exemples de pratiques sur vidéo sur les apprentissages et les intentions de changement de pratique d’un groupe d’enseignants du primaire relativement à la compétence professionnelle « Piloter des situations d’enseignement-apprentissage ». La réforme des programmes scolaires, qui s’installe progressivement depuis 2001, modifie considérablement les orientations en matière d’apprentissage et d’enseignement. RÉSUMÉ FRANÇAIS Ce mémoire fait l’étude du régime de prévention et de sanction des conflits possibles entre les intérêts de la municipalité d’une part et de ceux de ses élus de l’autre. L’objet de recherche est abordé selon une approche historique et éthique basée sur le régime juridique actuel. Le mémoire est divisé en 3 chapitres : (1) la notion de conflit d’intérêts ; (2) le cadre juridique à la base du régime de sanction des conflits d’intérêts et (3) celui sur le régime de prévention des conflits d’intérêts dans le domaine municipal. Le chapitre préliminaire situe l’objet de recherche à l’intérieur des grandes tendances de la recherche juridique sur la question et présente un cadre de réflexion sur la notion de conflit d’intérêts. L’examen des conflits d’intérêts repose avant tout sur un questionnement et sur un jugement de nature subjective : ce qui a été considéré comme un conflit d’intérêts autrefois ne l’est pas nécessairement de nos jours et ce, en dépit du fait que le cadre juridique évolue aussi dans le temps. On ne peut donc pas dégager avec exactitude et pour toujours ce qui constitue un conflit d’intérêts de ce qui n’en constitue pas un. Le chapitre premier est divisé en 4 sections. Two rankings are given, each based on a different metric: visibility is the number of times a university is listed as the primary academic affiliation in the INFORMS practice literature; yield is the equivalent number of INFORMS practice papers attributable to each university based on author primary academic affiliation. For US universities, Georgia Institute of Technology ranks first in visibility, followed by the Naval Postgraduate School in second, and the Colorado School of Mines in third, while for yield the Naval Postgraduate School ranks first, followed by the Colorado School of Mines in second, and Georgia Institute of Technology third. Gabriel Ferrater va traduir més d’una vintena de llibres al castellà i al català, de l’anglès, el francès, l’alemany, el suec i el polonès. Tot i que no era la seva labor literària principal, podem distingir entre les obres traduïdes les que va fer purament per guanyar diners i les que devia triar ell mateix perquè li interessava aprofundir en els autors originals. A banda dels minsos comentaris sobre la seva tasca de traducció, en les biografies de Ferrater, no hi ha gaire bibliografia sobre el Gabriel Ferrater traductor, però repassant les obres traduïdes podem fer-nos una idea de quina mena de traductor era, fins a quin punt s’hi mirava en les traduccions que li encarregaven i la vigència que tenen encara en aquests moments.; Ferrater translated more than twenty books into Spanish and Catalan from English, French, German, Polish, and Sweedish. We worked with partners to identify the needs of school-based continuing professional development (CPD) adapted to the local context; the programme was based on participatory, collaborative and inquiry-based pedagogies for both classroom learning and teacher development. We worked over a 1-year period with four experienced teachers in two basic (primary) schools serving disadvantaged communities. Data were collected from observations, interviews, surveys, lesson planning / review meetings and team workshops. All participants integrated OER and technology into mathematics and science lessons and developed more interactive practices, including collaborative learning. The objective of this study was to describe and analyze the contributions of the higher education in Law in general, and of an interdisciplinary pedagogical practice in particular, to the formation and development of professional competences in the students of a private institution of higher education in Minas Gerais, in the perspective of the students themselves. The theoretical framework is divided into three parts: professional competence; interdisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity in Law; national curriculum guidelines for the Law course. In the fieldwork, descriptive and of quantitative and qualitative character, data were collected primarily from a questionnaire applied to the students. In presenting and analyzing the data, the perceptions of the students were characterized as to the level of contribution of the course and of the interdisciplinary practice in the formation of their professional competences, based on two conceptual references (the competences model by Maria Teresa Fleury and Afonso Fleury, and the competences prescribed by the national curriculum guidelines), apart from their comments and suggestions. Frequency and accuracy of weight comments by others, and the association with weight misperception among Hong Kong adolescents

*Purpose:* To assess the frequency and accuracy of weight comments received from different sources among Chinese adolescents and the relation of weight comments to weight misperception. *Methods:* In the Hong Kong Student Obesity Surveillance (HKSOS) project 2006-07, 22612 form 1 to 7 students (41.5% boys) completed a questionnaire on obesity. Students were asked if they had received serious "too fat" or "too thin" comments over the past 30 days from family members, peers and professionals, and the accuracy of the comments was assessed against the actual weight status. Weight misperception was defined as discordance between the actual and perceived weight status. Logistic regression was used to calculate adjusted odd ratios (ORs) for weight misperception by weight comments received. *Results:* One in three students received weight comments, most commonly from mother for both "too fat" and "too thin" comments. Health professional was the most accurate source of weight comments, yet less than half the comments were correct.
