Most psychological experimentation takes place in laboratories aiming to maximize experimental control; however, this creates artificial environments that are not representative of real-life situations. Since cognitive processes usually take place in noisy environments, they should also be tested in these contexts. The recent advent of smartphone technology provides an ideal medium for such testing. In order to examine the feasibility of mobile devices (MD) in psychological research in general, and laterality research in particular, we developed a MD version of the widely used speech laterality test, the consonant-vowel dichotic listening (DL) paradigm, for use with iPhones/iPods. First, we evaluated the retest reliability and concurrent validity of the DL paradigm in its MD version in two samples tested in controlled, laboratory settings (Experiment 1). Second, we explored its ecological validity by collecting data from the general population by means of a free release of the MD version (iDichotic) to the iTunes App Store (Experiment 2). The results of Experiment 1 indicated high reliability (rICC = 0.78) and validity (rICC = 0.76–0.82) of the MD version, which consistently showed the expected right ear advantage (REA). The use of Mobile Devices (MD) is part of our diary life. People are used to use the MDs almost every day to communicate and collaborate with friends or colleagues in different environments such as work or education among others. This paper is focused on the use of this technology for collaborative learning contexts or Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) environments. There are different tools which support CSCL like blogs, wikis or chats. However, most of the CSCL tools used present accessibility barriers which provoke that many people cannot use these useful learning tools. In concrete, this paper is focused on eliciting requirements for the design of an accessible chat as a synchronous CSCL tool for MDs in an accessible way. To achieve it, some guidelines and standards are considered as a reference to determine the requirements that a chat should have to be accessible. (IEEE Ellersick Award winner – best unclassified paper); Deploying mobile devices to frontline troops presents many potential benefits, e.g.\ situational awareness, enhanced communication capabilities, etc. However, security remains an impediment to realizing such capability. In this research, we develop and evaluate an approach to securing the non-volatile storage of a collection of mobile devices. Our technique relies on well-established cryptographic primitives, combining them in a unique way to meet military mission specific security and resiliency requirements. Specifically, we create MDFS, a distributed mobile file system using erasure coding, Shamir's threshold secret sharing, and the symmetric AES block cipher. The resulting system provides two important properties: (1) data at rest is protected even after total compromise of up to $k$ devices, and (2) data is replicated within an infrastuctureless ad hoc network and, as such, resilient to device outages. We implement MDFS on Android mobile devices and achieve $\simeq$10Mbps throughput in real-world performance experiments, suggesting that MDFS is suitable for a variety of practical workloads.

Recent trends show that there are swift developments and fast convergence of wireless and mobile communication networks with internet services to provide the quality of ubiquitous access to network users. To bring coherence between Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) and Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP), in this paper, we have proposed an enhanced Internet framework, which incorporates a new markup language and a browser compatible with both of the access control protocols. This Markup Language and the browser enables co-existence of both Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Wireless Markup Language (WML) contents in a single source file, whereas the browser incorporates the ability to hold contents compliant with both HTTP and WAP. The proposed framework also bridges the security gap that is present in the existing mobile Internet framework. Fully controlled digital home had always been considered as a luxury of rich people because of excessive cost to install the system. It is now within the reach of mass people with lots of inexpensive cool features. In this paper we have designed and developed a very low cost, efficient and reliable Digital home system. Fully Controlled Digital Home is no more a Luxury. Our proposed system made it affordable. We built a low-cost feature-rich Digital Home System (DHS). Digital Home System is combination of automated services i.e. Electronic Device Controller, IR Security System, Web Desktop, Remote Video Surveillance System and Virtual Mobile by which we can control our home by avoiding old manual processes e.g. our physical presence at home is optional. The System provides some of the modern luxury & security features to us. Now we can control Light, fan, AC or any electronic devices by voice command, Blue-tooth, GPRS or Website. To control the system remotely, GPRS connectivity is added. We can also monitor our home from remote area by using Remote Video Surveillance System. Security has become one of the major issue in mobile services. In the development of recent mobile devices like Software Defined Radio (SDR) secure method of software downloading is found necessary for reconfiguration. Hash functions are the important security primitives used for authentication and data integrity. In this paper, VLSI architecture for implementation of integrity unit in SDR is proposed. The proposed architecture is reconfigurable in the sense it operates in two different modes: SHA-192 and MD-5.Due to applied design technique the proposed architecture achieves multi-mode operation, which keeps the allocated area resource at minimized level. The proposed architecture also achieves highspeed performance with pipelined designed structure. Comparison with related hash function implementation have been done in terms of operating frequency, allocated-area and area-delay product. Media sharing is an extremely popular paradigm of social interaction in online social networks (OSNs) nowadays. The scalable media access control is essential to perform information sharing among users with various access privileges. In this paper, we present a multi-dimensional scalable media access control (MD-SMAC) system based on the proposed scalable ciphertext policy attribute-based encryption (SCP-ABE) algorithm. In the proposed MD-SMAC system, fine-grained access control can be performed on the media contents encoded in a multi-dimensional scalable manner based on data consumers' diverse attributes. Through security analysis, we show that the proposed MC-SMAC system is able to resist collusion attacks. Additionally, we conduct experiments to evaluate the efficiency performance of the proposed system, especially on mobile devices.

Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) is the fastest growing wireless technology to date. In addition to providing wire-free connectivity to the Internet WiFi technology also enables mobile devices to connect directly to each other and form highly dynamic wireless adhoc networks. Such distributed networks can be used to perform cooperative communication tasks such ad data routing and information dissemination in the absence of a fixed infrastructure. Furthermore, adhoc grids composed of wirelessly networked portable devices are emerging as a new paradigm in grid computing. In this paper we review computational and algorithmic challenges of high-fidelity simulations of such WiFi-based wireless communication and computing networks, including scalable topology maintenance, mobility modelling, parallelisation and synchronisation. We explore similarities and differences between the simulations of these networks and simulations of interacting many-particle systems, such as molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. This is the web based application, here we analysis the network traffic which occurs when the player plays an online game. Here we are going to trace the current position of the player to rectify the traffic while playing the game. There are different types of measures for different applications, those can be normalized and compared with one another but my application can resolve the inconsistency by knowing the positions quickly and focus on quality of network (QON) which affects a player to leave the game in middle because of poor quality of service (QOS). The existing model leads to leave the game because of network loss from both sides. The proposed model can resolve this problem by applying the replacement of TCP along with the dejitter buffer (DB) it can reduce the network loss and by applying the DEAD RECKONING (DR) vector we can recover the network access because it can view the current position of the player through this we can rectify why the player leaving the game and checks the network conditions and try to reactive the game by using mobile devices automatically or else they receive the message according to the network conditions.; Comment: Published

By segmenting them all the publicity and advertisement of these companies, brands or businesses will become more efficient and it will reach the final consumer.
