A competência em gerenciamento de projetos (GP) é reconhecida como um fator crítico para o desenvolvimento de novos produtos e possuir sistemas de informação adequados é um quesito fundamental para apoiá-la. Há uma disponibilidade de ferramentas e em contrapartida, um número significativo de críticas à sua utilização, especialmente no caso de produtos inovadores e complexos. O trabalho tem por objetivo identificar os desafios a serem enfrentados para o desenvolvimento de ferramentas de software para apoiar práticas com esse enfoque. Empregou-se a revisão bibliográfica combinada com o estudo de caso múltiplo. Compilou-se os desafios apontados na literatura, revisando os temas: colaboração, gerenciamento ágil de projetos e softwares para gerenciamento de projetos. O resultado, organizado segundo as áreas de processo do PMI, foi comparado com problemas reais, coletados por meio do método de estudo de caso. O setor de bens de capital foi escolhido para garantir a complexidade dos projetos (número de peças do produto e presença de colaboração). Os projetos de desenvolvimento realizados em colaboração são fundamentais para que as empresas de máquinas agrícolas consigam aumentar o grau de inovação em produtos, permitindo-as acompanhar os novos desafios de um mercado mais competitivo. Há na literatura vários trabalhos que identificam fatores críticos de sucesso (FCS) para projetos colaborativos, porém, não há muitos estudos sobre a verificação desses fatores no Brasil, em especial na indústria de máquinas agrícolas (IMA). Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar se os FCS identificados na literatura poderiam ser empregados nesse contexto. Empreendeu-se uma revisão bibliográfica para identificar os fatores críticos de sucesso em projetos colaborativos de desenvolvimento de produtos e uma revisão sobre indústria de máquinas agrícolas (IMA), de forma a entender as especificidades desse setor no Brasil. This paper analyses the evolution of Maria, a mathematics teacher involved in a long term collaborative project together with a researcher and two other teachers. The study aimed to understand teaching practices and to develop richer classroom communication processes. It follows a qualitative-interpretative approach, with data gathered through recording of meetings and interviews. We discuss to what extent this project became relevant for the professional practice of Maria. The results indicate the potential of collaboration to understand communication phenomena in the classroom, putting practices under scrutiny and developing richer communication interaction patterns between teacher and students.

Thus, adequate Collaborative Project Management Software (CollabPMS) solutions are needed to enable individuals and organizations to manage, communicate and work together across time and space barriers. This dissertation describes a set of managerial and collaborative functionalities that a CollabPMS should provide to support the complexities of a distributed project effectively. Out of hundreds of software packages available in the market, four were selected, ProjectLibre, Redmine, Microsoft Project Professional 2013 and Clarizen, to assess whether they had or not functionalities that we described. Clarizen can be considered the best software for managing distributed projects, because it provides, by default, all the required managerial functionalities and the collaborative features that support the coordinated collaboration level. O presente artigo decorre de um estudo realizado num contexto de um projeto colaborativo que envolveu dois professores do 1.º ciclo e a primeira autora deste texto, sobre as práticas do professor focadas no desenvolvimento do sentido de número dos alunos. Pretende descrever e analisar as potencialidades deste contexto de trabalho e os desafios que se colocam ao investigador ao realizar um projeto desta natureza, assim como refletir sobre a criação/manutenção de uma relação de colaboração. O estudo insere-se no paradigma interpretativo e segue uma abordagem qualitativa. Os dados foram recolhidos através da realização de entrevistas, da observação participante e da recolha documental. Genome3D, available at http://www.genome3d.eu, is a new collaborative project that integrates UK-based structural resources to provide a unique perspective on sequence–structure–function relationships. Leading structure prediction resources (DomSerf, FUGUE, Gene3D, pDomTHREADER, Phyre and SUPERFAMILY) provide annotations for UniProt sequences to indicate the locations of structural domains (structural annotations) and their 3D structures (structural models). Structural annotations and 3D model predictions are currently available for three model genomes (Homo sapiens, E. coli and baker’s yeast), and the project will extend to other genomes in the near future. As these resources exploit different strategies for predicting structures, the main aim of Genome3D is to enable comparisons between all the resources so that biologists can see where predictions agree and are therefore more trusted. Furthermore, as these methods differ in whether they build their predictions using CATH or SCOP, Genome3D also contains the first official mapping between these two databases. This has identified pairs of similar superfamilies from the two resources at various degrees of consensus (532 bronze pairs, 527 silver pairs and 370 gold pairs).

The Collaborative Project on the European Sodium Fast Reactor (CP-ESFR) is an international project where 26 European partners develop R&D solutions for a European Sodium Fast Reactors concept. The Project is funded by the 7th EU Framework programme and cover topics such that the fuel, the fuel element and the fuel cycle, the safety concepts, the reactors architecture and the components and the balance of plants. Within the Subproject 3, dedicated to the safety concepts and to proliferation resistance and physical protection issues, a dedicated task addresses proliferation resistance issues. The paper recalls firstly the scope and objective of the CP-ESFR project and illustrates briefly its structure. The main core features and the so called working horses, for a loop and a pool Sodium fast reactor concept are presented, by highlighting the features more relevant for the proliferation resistance aspects. A literatura na área de formação de professores tem salientado a importância da participação de professores em atividades colaborativas de pesquisa. Objective: We sought to determine whether a reported history of childhood adversity is associated with components of the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP-ATP-III)-defined metabolic syndrome in adults with mood disorders. Method: This was a cross-sectional analysis of adult outpatients (N = 373; n = 230 female, n = 143 male; mean age [SD] = 42.86 [14.43]) from the International Mood Disorders Collaborative Project (University of Toronto and Cleveland Clinic) with DSM-IV-defined major depressive disorder and bipolar I/II disorder. Childhood adversity was measured with the Klein Trauma & Abuse-Neglect self-report scale. The groups with and without childhood adversity were compared to determine possible differences in the rates of metabolic syndrome and its components. Logistic and linear regressions adjusted for age, sex, education, employment status, and smoking were used to evaluate the association between childhood adversity and components of metabolic syndrome. Results: For the full sample, 83 subjects (22.25%) met criteria for metabolic syndrome. Individuals reporting a history of any childhood adversity had higher systolic and diastolic blood pressure (systolic: p = 0.040; diastolic: p = 0.038). In this article, we present and discuss a collaborative project on intercultural education developed by a group of educational partners. The group was made up of 12 people representing different institutions in the community, namely primary schools, cultural and social associations and the local council. The project takes an intercultural approach to diversity by focusing on strategies aimed at: (1) increasing language awareness through intercultural education in primary school, (2) promoting intercultural dialogue and (3) enhanced development of intercultural competence of all participants. Data were collected through a 30-minute interview, carried out individually with each of the partners at the end of the project. Participants' responses showed that the activities carried out during the project were an important way to promote the development of their intercultural competence. More than 20 years ago, the French Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle1 (MNHN, Secretariat of the Fauna and Flora) published the first part of an atlas of the flora of France at a 20km spatial resolution, accounting for 645 taxa (Dupont 1990). Since then, at the national level, there has not been any work on this scale relating to flora distribution, despite the obvious need for a better understanding. In 2011, in response to this need, the Federation des Conservatoires Botaniques Nationaux2 (FCBN, http://www.fcbn.fr) launched an ambitious collaborative project involving eleven national botanical conservatories of France. The project aims to establish a formal procedure and standardized system for data hosting, aggregation and publication for four areas: flora, fungi, vegetation and habitats. In 2014, the first phase of the project led to the development of the national flora dataset: SIFlore. As it includes about 21 million records of flora occurrences, this is currently the most comprehensive dataset on the distribution of vascular plants (Tracheophyta) in the French territory. SIFlore contains information for about 15'454 plant taxa occurrences (indigenous and alien taxa) in metropolitan France and Reunion Island, from 1545 until 2014. Our approach is grounded on principles of co-design, the broad participation of designers, developers and stakeholders into the process, and on a Do-It-Yourself philosophy to making and experimentation. This paper presents some work developed through a collaborative project involving mathematics teachers and teacher educators, aimed at the development of classroom tasks involving students in mathematical investigations and the study of related teaching styles. We give a general overview of the project and present one task dealing with the concepts of powers and exponents. Then, we describe how it was used in the classroom (grade levels 5-7), and present our experience about the role and the activity of the teacher in the process of organizing, conducting and reflecting about this kind of activity.

This dissertation is written in three progressively restrictive parts. Part I is a set of two expansive essays on collaborative supply chain management that proposes several new perspectives and interconnections between current day global business and economic issues, and the evolving supply chain structures and decision-making paradigms that depend on extensive inter-firm collaboration. Part I also develops new guidelines for both practitioners as well as academic researchers in their quest to incorporate collaborative requirements as an explicit component of existing planning frameworks and modeling approaches. Part I further comments on how the technological evolution of manufacturing, service, and general business processes have led to decentralized structures that require a fundamentally collaborative approach to the planning of such processes. We also argue that existing supply chain decision-making and planning approaches are modeled in the fashion of corporate and enterprise resource planning systems, which given their scope, limit the extent of collaboration in both planning and in execution. The arguments and discussion in this part are not specific to any particular supply chain function and is without technological bias.
